1920

The birth

It was back in 1920 when Gaetano Luciano started a company for the trade of hazelnuts, walnuts and fresh fruit in Avella, his hometown famous for its large quantity of hazelnut cultivation. Together with his wife Vincenza, Gaetano began production with a workforce of 30 workers. The company and family grew together, in fact from the union of the two were born 11 sons and daughters. From 1930 onwards, international trade began with the export of fruit pulp preserved in SO2

1945

The recovery

After the hard years of the Second World War, the company resumed its activity with the support of Gaetano's three sons and went from exporting 1000 barrels of pitted and stalked cherries in 1949 to 7000 barrels in 1956, with a workforce of 120 women . In 1954, Gaetano's commitment and energy were recognized by the Italian government, which named him " Cavaliere Ufficiale del Lavoro ". In 1958, Gaetano's sons definitively joined the company, giving life to the " Fratelli Luciano " brand.

1960

The second generation

When Gaetano died in 1960, the company passed into the hands of his sons and in 1962 Fratelli Luciano became the first company in Campania to be completely mechanized . In an attempt to remain a leader in the sector, Fratelli Luciano continued to innovate to increase its business and became the first company in Europe to use polyethylene barrels. In 1965, it began producing sour cherries in syrup and maraschino , a cherry processed specifically for cocktails. These new products increased the company's revenue, which then decided to open a new, more technologically competitive plant.

1990

The third generation

In 1995, three young cousins, driven by the family passion for business and united by the same name "Gaetano", brought further innovations to the company with a new project: " Luciano Srl " was born. Today, as in the past, the trade of products is aimed at international wholesalers and retailers, with exports reaching the main European nations, but also Brazil, Australia and Russia.

With the advent of e-commerce, Luciano Srl gets even closer to its customers, guaranteeing them a quality, healthy and genuine product.
